I have not seen a piece that better explains the fucked up situation we have stumbled into. People trying to do good things for good reasons are being weaponised.

As always, an excellent piece, Julian. Appreciate that you're one of the few adults in the room.

Thank you so much for your extensive research on this. I think interwoven into this is the misogynistic shapeshifting among males raised on extreme online violent pornography and virtual gaming, who themselves or as allies increasingly see "woman" as a "sexy hot young girl" they can't have, so they want to control and interiorize. Autogynephiliac transwomen (as opposed to the old-fashioned homosexual transsexuals who usually just wanted to be left alone and never bothered anybody) repeatedly say this, in more sexually overt ways, all over their social media.

Many of these males dominate in Big Tech--men who think sex work is liberation, conditioning one's dopamine rush to torture of women and girls is "free speech," that females are only good for sex until they're too old to be used. Girls are growing up in this and see the writing on the wall. Part of the dynamic of rapid onset gender dysphoria is a resistance to be turned into this "thing"--to not be the female who is interiorized by a sex-addicted male but the actual sexual agent. Of course they never say this out loud, but it's lurking beneath the surface.

So you're right--the dynamic of the philanthropic industrial complex, which is yuuuuge in the US, partnering with the neoliberal DNC and some of the RINO business buddies--is rewarding and expanding this. But there's a deep underlying hatred of actual women going on here, which I don't think is coincidentally concomitant with when first world woman have actually gotten a little more economic agency (relative to the past, since many are still very poor) and have the freedom to marry another woman. It's deeply suspicious to me that this trans mania took off when the Marriage Equality laws were passed, and have picked up during #metoo.

Some of this is just the usual narcissistic behavior of many males who think that victimhood is the new power and can't stand not having it....but I think there's the deeper rage at the mother and women's non-sexual power (along with their power to refuse sex) that's going on here, exacerbated by the deeply violent, biologically addicting pornography industry. It explains the vicious hate you see by some of these guys---they've turned the paraphiliac thrill of transgression against women into a civil right, fueled by their rage that they have high sex drives and females reject them. They'll show us, by interiorizing us, transgressing against us, and attacking us if we fight back.

Thanks again--always appreciate your work. from the southern US

An interersting question for you to address later is why woke capitalism?

Why do big firms back BLM and LGBT++++ ?

If you go back to the 1950s were DuPont and General Motors paying money to the NAACP? I dont think so. Were they placing TV adverts promoting transvestism or the rights of homosexuals? Certainly not.

Why the change?

The left in the 70s said that anti-racism and gay rights movements were implicitly anti-capitalist. If so why are big firms promoting them now?

Were the left wrong then?

Has capitalism changed?

Are the anti racist and LGBT movements now very different from those before?

In Hamburg last year I was struck by the way that every big German firm seemed to fly a rainbow or display rainbows. Why do they do it now?

In 1950 it would have been as unthinkable as seeing them flying DDR flags or red flags.

Flying DDR flags or red ones would still be unthinkable.

I don't think that's difficult historically. Everything radical (in the sense of "extreme") that's now been embraced is a non-threatening edge. LGB was trendy for awhile, and now it can be appropriated for new marketing strategies, since the warm fuzzy feelings supporting it creates are noticeable among families with children and high incomes. BLM becomes fashionable, so ditto. Women's rights has lots its fashion edge, so we're seeing penises in frilly panties to add a different warm fuzzy for the liberals -- and so forth. What we can guarantee from capitalism is that it will never use the "edged" part of politics for its marketing plan, and using the blunt edge creates an... well, astroturf sense of "solidarity" the way calling something a "movement" creates an astroturf version of the grass roots. I think it was Robin Morgan who named the women's fist "menstruation red" so capitalism would come out with a matching "liberation red" color.

Don't think that public really has any purchase on what the private media do. They have long been voice of monies interest. What changes is just the routes the money flows down.

It depends I would say. The independent media as I have been working in for many years now absolutely kowtows to this public fervour and I would even argue that major media has picked up this “chorus” from alternative news sources. If you see how the BBC and CNN have changed to listicle style “how to be a good ally” pieces they ripped this off directly from Vice and Vox. Bari Weiss also notes how this relationship has tarnished news reporting at places as large as the NYTimes. I was going to add this but the piece was already long enough and I thought Weiss made the point spectacularly with her letter.
