One of the most chilling thoughts about the 'hate crime' register, is that there will be thousands and thousands of people who have absolutely no idea that they have been reported - and as a result recorded or logged in a Big Red Book - for saying or writing things that they had no idea could possibly be deemed a problem, other than by the person that 'perceived' a wrongdoing of some banal sort.
