Lets be honest. That is horrible data on 'white women', almost mythology. This is why the Left keeps losing. Lazy facts.

White women vary in all areas. They are not all privileged and middle class. And there are, sadly for the Woke, lots more of them in this country, still.

Second, placing a violent picture from the 1960s as if it represents opportunity for education in 2023? Community college is free. State schools basically turn away Asian, Jewish and White middle class kids. k-12 schools have tended to black and latino kids for 25 years now, to the exclusion of white/Asian/other kids. You think white/mixed/other families haven't noticed this? Thats why the country is tired of this pity party.

I have never agreed with Roberts on anything, but his arguments here are sound. Liberals have to be smarter: the woke have to wake up and look at reality.

Black people have been successful for decades without such shameful pandering and pitiful condescension to 'one race.' They don't need this. They are as capable as any other group.

Last, Ethnic Studies is the most appalling discipline. I'm for its existence given how many subjects students can choose from, but ask any student who's been subject to it - the teachers are narcissistic activists who misrepresent the past, cherry pick facts, and end up churning out conservative students, who then support such policies as this one. The irony....

Certainly, the data is stale and the "reliable" data is out of data, hence no longer viable. We need to move beyond what I call the "Mississippi Burning" paradigm as we are seeing in recent years, this "consciousness" movement ends up being about some very regressive notions about race while cleanly side-stepping the real issue of college admissions: class.

Right. That movie shaped me greatly and turned me further Left with regard to racism. That was then. The Woke are stuck in 1955, or 1619. Its just farcical. Such a crucial, admirable ideal, to end or counter prejudice, is incredibly prejudiced and counter productive.

"Without race-based affirmative action, the evidence shows that the number of Black and Brown students admitted to elite institutions is predicted to drop dramatically."

Odd phrase.

We have never had 'race-based affirmative action' in UK because it has always been unlawful, but that hasn't stopped us having equal opps policies that aim to achieve same or similar results.

Furthermore, how can the evidence show the future, as you seem to suggest? Evidence is by definition of the past!
