I see a powerful leader succeeding and a lot of jealous people whining. I see a dragon slayer and a bunch of people who want to milk the dragon forever. And I know which one I will stand with.
Amen. I add that it might be worthwhile for those committed to defeating GI on the Left by “fixing” the Left to ask themselves how effective their efforts to-date have been.
Until very, very recently, did Stonewall & Mermaids not increase their influence & power? Did they not convince every arm of the UK government & huge #s of for- and non-profit organizations to adopt their “above the law” reading of the Equality Act & change their HR policies accordingly ?
At a certain point, shouldn’t you ask yourself whether your efforts to make politicians like Starmer give two shits about something they have made crystal clear, time & time again that they do not are akin to banging your head repeatedly against a wall?
Keeping it “in family” clearly hasn’t worked.
Until Labor’s embrace of GI hurts them at the ballot box, I think the odds Labor self-correcting are low.
I am so glad to read your post. I was very disappointed by the "left-wing feminist" responses to Kellie-Jay Keane's action in Brighton and no longer count myself to be a Labour supporter. As Rose L. says, until Labour experiences difficulties in the ballot-box, I don't think the current leadership and the many women who are Labour activists, will realise their mistake.

Spot on

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
