I have thought a lot about this expectation to condemn Hamas and like the author will not condemn because we are expected to condemn the savagery of one side whilst ignoring the savagery of the more powerful side (as the author says a kill rate of 40:1. We are also supposed to say nothing whilst Netanyhu denies Palestinians the necessities of life, forcibly removes 1 million people in a day (with no regard for the old, disabled, pregnant who can't move) until the lust for revenge is satisfied. All whilst understanding the history of how terrorists stole the Palestinian land in the first place and how Netanyhu, as reported in Times of Israel) funded Hamas precisely because he feared a Palestinian state formed of Gaza and the West Bank. Ultimately it seems Israel wants to ethnically cleanse (if not commit genocide) when what should happen is the nationalist state of Israel should be reformed as a secular state for both the Jewish and Palestinian people.
