The biggest problem to this is people in the Middle East are ruled/controlled by warlords draped in a pretend god, they are still incredibly low in literacy, and the middling sort that want progress are mostly in the US and Europe.
I see no hope. I'm afraid. With patriarchy, Islam, climate change and growing fundamentalism/blame culture, its worrying.
