Ok I’ve had to rewind 20 minutes to start again at the beginning, partly because I’m unfamiliar with any corner of the art world, but mostly because of cognitive dissonance. As a former diehard Democrat, now politically “unhoused,” my narrative of post communist Eastern Europe involved greedy western capitalists colluding with local oligarchs. Insofar as liberals were involved, they were the good guys!
Also for years I’ve assumed Soros was just a nice guy who happened to be (VERY) wealthy, whose charitable efforts were unjustly vilified by the Right. He was characterized as a
bogey man by unscrupulous hacks to make clickbait for credulous Republicans.
Yet lately I’m seeing him as a far more problematic figure, almost more dangerous than the Kochs bc the MSM brushes aside any criticism of him.
What was it Andrea Dworkin said about our right-wing mothers -- that they were often correct?
What I love about Aaron's critique here is how the NGO model is supra-governmental, is unsurveillable and they are accountable to nobody, while they have more power to influence/create government policy. Soros' donations to the Guardian to sponsor the coverage of transgender issues is how the astroturfing of the gender movement has taken place within the media. Without media voices echoing this, nobody would care about what people do with their bodies. Soros and other elites on the "left" has mainstreamed a fake identity and successfully abetted the creation of laws and policies that have marginalised women, children, and gay men and women from their own spaces and organisations.
It wouldn't be twenty minutes, but the audio format means that you can listen while driving, cooking, folding, etc. :) We usually keep the length to 75 minutes, but this launch of Season 3 merited the length. Thanks for tuning in.
FWIW I enjoy the longer format and indeed this episode whiled away a long and tiresome drive today. I do think links in the show notes could provide explanatory material. Perhaps that could be a substitute for a transcript

I really wish you offerred transcripts of your videos! Two hours is way too long! A transcript could be read in twenty minutes and could quoted from.
