I mean this is just silly. Its a highschool wish piece.

"It has also taught us that the US is no longer able to reorder the Middle East to fit Israeli priorities, and that relatively small countries in the Global South, when united, can alter the course of history."

This is not true. The US has the power to shape that region even more than it has. And it never shaped it to that small states priorities (smells of Zionist conspiracy theory...), it shaped it to the benefit of all consumers in the West, including Substack writers. However, good luck when you have Russia, China or India (or even Iran) shaping this region. You'll be calling us, asking for help.

The Global South unite? Um. yeah, as in Bandung? Non aligned? Pan Arabism? Arab Socialism? Pan Africanism? and on and on. The Third World has never united. Its fractured nature is the reason it became the Third World. It has no hope unless it ties itself to the West. Its that or follow your new BRICS/Muslim allies, all authoritarian, all abusive, all dictatorial, and all, you shall see, hell compared to the heavenly world the West has given authors like you to express yourself.
