Is the point Britain should sheepishly hope Russia, China, most of Islam, Africa and parts of Asia don't keep interfering with western freedoms? Is the point its so expensive we should buy more butter for overweight British kids?

What is the point?

Easy to sit in Australia playing pacifist (which was the game before until the minute Japan looked that way in 1942..and would suffer similarly again if China turns its head today toward little old Oz- "please help American and Britain, hayyyeelp!!"). Its not so easy when you recognize Russia is our enemy.

Always was. We tried to be nice from 1991 on, but its a violent Tatarist, absolutist culture.

Its time for Britain to rearm.

Ripping up international law and breaking the law himself, it is a bit rich announcing the world is less safe so we need to buy more weapons and not spend it on aid or people more generally.

Pretending Russia is the biggest threat to Britain is plainly ridiculous. It is when PM's are trying to do something that doesn't look incompetent that they do obscene things to distract from their own ineptitude and try to distract from people noticing he is actively participating in genocide and ethnic cleansing.

He looks inept and his chancellor thinks she is running a grocery store. As Richard Murphy would say she has a desire to balance the books all the time when she should be trying to balance the economy. She, like Osborne believes she can cut and grow the economy. She can't and if she wants to grow the economy she needs to give the poorest money. They will probably spend it all each week, not save it or invest it. She is not a book keeper but clearly would like to me. She has a comprehension gap and Oxford only teach neoliberalism which has failed repeatedly, not Keynes who was far more successful. She is copying George Osborne. He failed and so will she. They both believe wars will raise their profile enough to get reelected. Only if you are on the right. Reform do racism better and nobody wants cons or labs anymore. Liz Truss started her career as a lib dem, so I don't recommend them either. We had a lib dem councillor standing up at a council meeting and spouting some pretty vile racist shit. So don't vote for any above. If you know anyone who is saying they won't bother voting then tell them to spoil their ballot and say (something polite) about how we deserve better and demand democracy is introduced into the UK.
