I enjoyed your piece on the motivations behind Israel's continuing campaign of obliteration. I'm curious that you see it as a repetition of a failed strategy though. Other commentators are saying that it's preparation for isreal's next move i.e. mass deportation. Strategically speaking, wiping out your neighboring tribe and preparing to take their land is a "win", right? Hamas won't disappear but in the short term they wont be able to 'do anything' and in the meantime the land Isreal takes will just be theirs, a true Apartheid state. They are backed by America, the rich arab states aren't interested, and Europe aren't going to do anything. So the jewish tribe will have succeeded in giving their problem of having no homeland, to someone else. Then, in 50 years time it will all be history, like the US and the native indians.

Personally I think the whole exchange of hatred and barbarism we are witnessing is behaviour of the dark ages and not the 21st century.
